Gilfor’s Tales is an fantasy RPG browser game, created by award-winning studio sodigital. Thanks to a masterful combination of 2D graphics (creating a near photo-realistic environment) with three-dimensional characters rendered in real time, Gilfor’s Tales offers a brand-new quality of experiences in virtual world.



Gilfor's Tales is written in Flash 9, which means that it can be run using every modern browser. No installation is required, all you have to do is register on the website and you're ready to start playing!

Gameplay



The game is a tactical-RPG, meaning that you have to make tactical choices to succeed. You lead a team of up to four characters, which you can choose from 7 different character classes. The gameplay is divided into two sections - the Tavern area, where you manage your team, level up ,buy equipment, buffs and spells, and the Quest area, where you fight various monsters and perform other tasks to help the ones in need.



Each character has a set of skills he can learn while he levels up. With each level you can distribute points into skills, upgrading the ones you already knew or learning new ones. You will not be able to learn all the skills to their maximum levels, so you have to distribute the points in a way so that the character's development suits your style.



The game also features an arena mode, where players can compete with one another. Players will fight using their teams in various environments. A ranking system is implemented for players to clearly see who has the strongest team. Players with the highest rankings will have access to exclusive weapons and armor, among other things.

To the moderators: If possible, I'd like to keep all past versions of the map as attachments in this thread. Aside from doubling as a map archive, this practise will help me greatly in tracking down regressions between versions if I inadvertently introduce any. Hopefully the increasing version numbers and large download link at the top of this post should be sufficient enough to prevent confusion.

First release, updated to 6.62 and 1.24b compliant. Note that this is v0.21, and there will be bugs.


Some abilities are not working for bots yet (they learn them but don't use them), and this is expected and will be addressed in future versions.


The following game modes have been disabled for now:

-vr, -rv, -rd, -cd, -cm, -lm, -xl


The following game commands have been disabled for now:

-afk, -kickafk, -ah, -switch, -fun


Please report bugs to me.


Things that are bugs:

-Crashes with reproducible reasons

-Abilities/items not working as expected (for players or bots)



Things that are not bugs:

-Bots not using certain abilities

-Bots being too strong/weak/cheating. They do that.
